Historical Distinguished Revolver Match
This is something new we are trying in late summer 2004
Keep an eye on the 45 shoots to see if it is popular enough to keep going with.
WHAT:
The Department of Civilian Marksmanship Program historical distinguished revolver match.
WHERE:
Weeping Water Gun Club
REVOLVERS:
Stock revolvers with open sights, .45 OR 38 Special
2.5 pound trigger.
AMMUNITION:
158 gr. round-nose for .38 special, 230 gr. jacketed for .45 or 250 gr. round-nose for 45
long colt
COURSE OF FIRE:
10 shots at 50 yards on the B-6 target, 10 shots at 25 yards, 5 shots in 20 seconds for
timed fire at the B-8 target, and then 10 shots (5 shots in 10 seconds) at the first
string at B-8 target, for a total of 30 shots. Distinguished points will be awarded for
excellence in competition.
MATCH FEES:
$10 for service pistol match. $15 for the historical distinguished revolver match. $20 to
shoot both
They prefer that you use a .38 special or a .45, but bring what you have.
